Resources and advocacy
Who are we?
The AFF
The Alliance Féministe Francophone (AFF) is a collective initiative born out of a desire to strengthen the voice of Francophone feminist movements in multilateral forums. Against a backdrop of serious challenges to the rights of women and gender minorities, the AFF acts as a strategic and operational advocacy tool, designed for and with activists.
Led by a consortium of feminist organisations — Equipop, the Fund for Women in the Mediterranean (FFMed) and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) — the Alliance aims to organise, support and amplify collective feminist and Francophone advocacy at the international level. It supports women activists in their participation in key decision-making forums (the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the Commission on Population and Development (CPD), the Human Rights Council, the African Union and the European Union, amongst others), by strengthening their capacities, coordination and visibility.
Revendications
Women’s rights are not just words: they are our struggles, our shared history.
Activists in multilateral forums
Discover how activists are taking to the podiums of the UN and the European Union. From the grand chambers to the secret corridors, they are making their presence felt in diplomatic forums to turn the echoes of their struggles, their experiences and their lives into a universal movement.
Connect with the AFF
The AFF is not based on a membership model, but on a dynamic of committed participation. It brings together activists from diverse backgrounds and with varied areas of expertise, adopting a flexible and evolving approach, in order to build lasting alliances and strengthen the impact of Francophone feminist voices.
At the heart of its work, the AFF champions a political vision grounded in strong values: intersectionality, solidarity, decolonialism, autonomy, sisterhood and transparency.
